Verbum Society

A Vision for the Future

The Verbum Society was formed to recognize and celebrate a very special group of individuals who have included the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in their wills or other estate planning. To thank members for joining the Verbum Society, we extend lifetime benefits that include invitations to special events, seminars, and a listing in the annual report.

In Latin, verbum means word. Members of the Verbum Society truly advance the word and the work of the University. Verbum Society members have a significant impact on UIW students and academic programs. Membership is open to all alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff who name UIW in their will or through their estate plan.

There are many ways to include UIW in your charitable giving or estate planning. Positive benefits include estate tax reduction, plans that generate income over a lifetime and the joy of helping students.
